You need an HDTV converter box. Geez, is there anyone left in this country who doesn’t know you need and HDTV converter box next Feb. if you want to continue receiving free TV using a TV antenna and your old analog tv?
It seems like I see it mentioned about 25 times per day or more. Who is paying for all of this damn HDTV informative blurbs on TV? The govt? Sheesh, I can think of about 30 much better uses of the time and money.
I find it very irritating that we have so many problems in this country that are so much more important than HDTV converter boxes yet we get 15 scrooling lines a day telling us about HDTV coming in Feb of ext year and another 10-15 voice reminders. Overkill at it’s finest.
Why aren’t we spending that money on things that really matter instead of continually warning people their analog tv’s aren’t going to work next Feb if they are using an antenna? You’d have to be deaf, dumb and blind not to know it by now.
I guess you can see where our priorities and our govts priority are. It seems that HDTV and getting the poor people who can’t afford a new TV a converter box, with a coupon from the govt no less, is more important than anytheing else in the world today.
We have a piss poor economy, a major drug problem, a major crime problem, a major school problem a major heatlth problem and a major energy problem in this country and the best we can do is run an amazing amount of BS about being sure everyone converts to HDTV or gets a converter box.
Seems to me they govt might as well just give everyone a 25 inch HDTV and be done with it and move on to something else that’s just a tad bit more important for the people to know about or do.
What a freaking waste of time and resources on something that isn’t even necessary to live. Oops, forogt, TV is the opiate of the masses and one of many methods of keeping he poor pacified and giving them something to do.
