Lack of education, actually I shouldn’t say education because I’m a well educated man, what I should say is I’m not well schooled and in some area’s that’s held me back. I’m self educated and proud of it.
I finished 9th grade and then gave up on formal schooling. Believe me the school concept was beyond me and sorta still is. Anyway, don’t make the mistake that well schooled and well educated mean the same thing.
I know many supposedly well schooled people. Some of them graduated at the top of their college class. Of course it was Podunk U but still supposedly a state and govt approved education. Unfortunately, well schooled but educated idiots.
I’ve had several jobs where I supervised or trained college graduates. Lol, that reminds me that it’s pretty much true that education starts when schooling ends.
It’s funny, how in the hi tech jobs I’ve had, I knew more than the college graduates, trained them, supervised them and was paid a starting salary of at least $10,000.00 dollars less thean they were.
In the lower tech jobs I’ve had I’ve also been a supervisor and teacher or trainer. I’ve also always made more than the people I was training or supervising.
I’ll never under stand the concept of a man, or woman, getting paid more money just because they managed to sit through 4-6 years of college. Particularly when they don’t know a damn thing when they graduate.
Heh, when I’m applying for a job the reality is I lie to get it. After I have it they don’t seem to care because I’m very good at what I do. However if I didn’t lie about formal schooling I’d never even get a second look, let alone get hired.
Educated fools are the reason for this sites existance. The president may have better schooling than I ever imagined having but he is not better educated than I am. Nor for that matter are most people.
No matter, I still earn less. One thing in parting, I’ve owned 4 different businesses and been successful in all of them. Even made a ton of money in one of them. I’m not well schooled but by any standards I am well educated. At least educated enough to be successful at what I do.
